Summer School 2024: May 28, 2024 - June 14, 2024.

Important Reminders:
- An orientation video will be shared (via email) on May 28th (or use the link above)
- Chromebook distribution
- Current 8th graders MUST turn in their TMS Chromebooks at TMS by 5/23!
- THS Chromebooks can picked up:
- May 24th, 8 am -12 pm or 1 pm -3 pm
- May 28th, 8 - 10 am
- Courses (including Health) are fully online, asynchronous
- An online pacing guide will assist parents/caretakers in determining student progress
- Students are expected to log in and work daily but the courses are self-paced which allows students to work ahead or even complete the course early
- Students must register by the end of the day on May 29th
- Students may drop their course up until 10 AM on May 31st. No refunds or drops will be accepted after this date and a prorated refund may be issued with administrative approval only
Attendance: Courses are graded strictly on completed work since they are fully online. Students and parents/caregivers will be contacted if there are any issues with work completion.
Grades: The student's final grade, INCLUDING 0% for all unfinished work, will be added to High School Transcripts as of 10 AM on June 14th. There are no extensions as courses are available 24 hrs/day - 7 days/week from May 28 - June 14.
Fee: The following is the fee for each half (.5) credit class taken (2 courses maximum):
Talawanda residents: $150.00
Nonresidents: $175.00
Please make checks payable to the "Talawanda School District".
Those needing financial assistance should submit a letter describing their need to the high school office. Students on free/reduced lunch automatically qualify for a scholarship.
All core courses necessary for graduation at THS are available for those who have previously failed said course. TWO courses are available for advancement: Health (open to incoming freshmen and HS students) and Financial Literacy (open to 11th/12th graders only).
