TALAWANDA HIGH SCHOOL E-NEWS SEPTEMBER 10, 2021

IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND REMINDERS:

• Students who are interested in being in drama club: there will be an informational meeting during tutorial Tuesday, September 14th. 

Mrs. Mortimore will be here to discuss information leading up to the first play production.  Please email Mrs. Mortimore mortimorem@talawanda.org for more information. 

• Attention Sophomores: Class ring orders will be done during all three lunches on Thursday, September 16th. If you order before September 24th you will receive a free Talawanda High School Class of 2024 backpack. There are extra order forms in the main office. You can also order online: JOSTENS.COM or by calling 513-561-3228.  

• FFA Mum Sale is going on now and ends on Sept. 16th. 8” pots are $8.00 each.  Color options: red, yellow, orange, white & purple.  Email Mrs. Roberts to order: robertsk@talawanda.org Pick up is Tues., Sept. 21st.  

• The homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, September 25th from 7 to 10pm outside at the stadium.  Students and all in attendance will be required to wear masks over their mouths and noses.  Students may bring one outside guest in at least 9th grade and under the age of 21.  If a student brings an outside guest, they must fill out a permission slip and TURN it in to purchase a guest ticket.  Guest forms may be picked up in the main office. 

 Tickets will go on sale Tuesday at 9am.  Tickets will be $10 per person.  To purchase tickets, students should scan the QR codes on the hallway signs or visit  talawandaathletics.org to purchase through Home Town Ticketing. Students must enter their student ID numbers to purchase an individual ticket.  For outside guests, permission slips must be turned in to receive a ticket code to purchase.  See Mrs. Sammons for specific questions. 

• Free/ Reduced Meals AND Fee applications are due to the main office by September 13, 2021. Students will become ineligible without a new form submitted.  If you have any questions, please contact Lori Gingerich at gingerichl@talawanda.org  or 513-273-3212.

• The school counseling office will offer groups for students in the areas of grief, anxiety, and social issues.  If you are interested in referring your student for one of these groups, please contact your student’s school counselor. 

•  Order your Talawanda High School 2021-22 yearbook today for early bird pricing!! Go to www.jostens.com to get yours for just $60 and four free icons with personalization until October 8th! If you have any questions please email yearbook@talawanda.org 

•  Miami University will host the annual Southwest Regional College Fair!      Save the date for Thursday, October 28th from 6:30-8:00 at Miami           University’s    Hamilton Campus Gym (1601 University Blvd, Hamilton, Ohio 45011.

 Students can join us before the college fair for a Financing Your Education info session with our Financial Aid Staff.  The workshop will be held in  Parrish  Auditorium from 6:00-6:30pm.
