In addition to having an outstanding academic program, Talawanda is also affiliated with Butler Tech, which provides career and technical training for students beginning in the sophomore year of high school.  Talawanda also has a premier educational partnership with Miami University and collaborates with the College of Education, Health, and Society.  We partner with other colleges and departments at Miami University to bring exceptional programming to students K-8 and additional course offerings to eligible high school students.

Students at Talawanda High School are among the highest achieving students in Butler County, and a significant number of graduates go on to prestigious universities every year. THS students consistently score above the state average on the ACT.   The most recent graduating class of students, captured nearly $6 million in college scholarships.  71% of THS's graduates go on to higher education, while 2% go to technical institutions, 23% go on to the job market, and 4% go on to the military.

The district supports high achievement through a rigorous variety of curricular programs including 19 honors courses, and 9 AP courses, and an average class size 14 students at the high school level.

Talawanda School District has very strong partners with parents and community members, and are well supported by parent teacher groups, athletic booster groups, and local service organizations who support Talawanda students as their primary benefactor.

There are many clubs, after school activities, and athletics teams to participate in, administered by the school district, the city of Oxford Parks Department, and other local youth organizations.  There are also many amenities in and around the community such as parks, a bike path, hiking trails, Hueston Woods State Park, Brookville Lake, and many sports facilities in the city and on Miami University's campus.

The greater Oxford community is a wonderful and safe place to call home and raise a family, with exceptional people and schools!
