School News and Information
Happy Friday! It is hard to believe that next week begins the last month of school. We are down to the last 19 days. We still have much to do and many activities planned. We appreciate your support in encouraging students to stay focused and keep working.
Marshall PTG has planned a wonderful Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week May 8-12 to thank our teachers and staff for all they do.
We are asking for YOUR help with Tootle Tuesday!
Please consider writing a note to staff members that have made a positive difference for your child and let them know that what they do matters. Feel free to use this template, or your own, and send them to school Tuesday, May 9.
PTG will also provide a dessert bar on Wednesday, May 10. If you would like to send in a dessert, please sign up here. Thank you!
From the Marshall PTG
Mark your calendars! Marshall Mayfest which will take place May 19th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
Thank you to Marshall families for sending in donations and volunteering to help at Mayfest! In the last week we’ve filled about half of the volunteer spots we’ll need - still 28 more spots to fill! We are very close to having all of the baked goods and soft drink donations we need.
Volunteer shifts are for half of the event (1.5 hours) - so you can volunteer for part of the event and still have time to enjoy the carnival with your children. Parents, teens, and grandparents all make great volunteers!
We are looking for:
28 more Volunteers
• 5 volunteers for inflatables (volunteers for inflatables must be 18+ )
• 15 volunteers for carnival games: Dino dig! Blinko & Fist Full-of-Fun! Bowling! Toilet Toss! Musical Chairs! Ring Toss! Golf!
• 5 volunteers for the Prize Room
• 3 volunteers for the Musical Squares
10 more Donations:
• 9 more donations of soft drinks - cans or 2 liters
• 1 more donation of baked goods for the Musical Squares game
Sign up to volunteer and donate here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040548aca822a0fa7-marshall#/
If you have a connection to a community group looking for volunteer opportunities (student groups, scouts, 4H, etc). Please contact Sarah Fisher at millersb02@gmail.com about Mayfest volunteer opportunities.
If you have a business or are a vendor and would like to be part of the Mayfest Market or want to be a Mayfest sponsor please complete this form.

Contacting Legislators
Holli Hansel has placed the information on the TSD website regarding contacting state legislators and the governor about school funding. Please consider taking a few minutes to advocate for fair school funding for Ohio. The state of Ohio's funding for public schools has been found unconstitutional multiple times. I will be reaching out to our legislators and please consider taking a few moments to do the same.
Please consider writing to our Ohio Board of Education, and other state leaders and elected officials. Check out the talking points and letters we've shared on our district website.
