Happy Friday, we hope you had a great week!

Parents, please note that students from 3rd through 12th grade are either currently taking the Ohio State Tests. Teachers will remind students the day before they are scheduled to test. Kindly ensure that your child arrives at school on time to begin the tests promptly.  Thank you for your support.

FAMILY GROUPS

We will be meeting with our family groups on Thursday, April 25th. Our theme for this month is RESPECT. Earth Day is April 22nd and we will be connecting our theme for the month to our PAX pledge and Earth Day.

Each student will receive an EARTH BINGO sheet they can complete at home and turn in to school for a shout-out on the announcements. The BINGO sheet can be found here if you need a copy.

PAX PLEDGE:

I am a PAX Leader.

I better my world, I better myself.

I create more peace, productivity, and happiness.

I am a PAX Leader.

Here are other ideas you can do inside or outside your home to take care of our Earth:

  • Take a walk outside and make a mental note of five beautiful things you can see, four natural things you can touch, three things you can smell, two things you can hear, and one thing you feel.

  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. ...

  • pick up litter

  • Conserve water

  • Use long-lasting light bulbs

  • Plant a tree

  • Turn OFF lights

  • Use reusable cups instead of plastic cups or water bottles

  • While grocery shopping, bring your own bags!

  • Ride your bike instead of driving

  • Always shut the water OFF

  • Donate instead of throwing away

  • Make a reusable bag out of a t-shirt: Find Directions HERE

THS Honor Society will sponsor this free event, but a registration form must be filled out in order to participate. They will have a formal check-in table, where we will also be collecting gently used/new books to donate to the Oxford Lane Library. Event activities include a variety of crafts, gym time, a movie, board games, and carnival games.

We have attached a flyer for the event. The QR code on the flyer will lead to the form for registration, but here is the link: https://forms.gle/zdJLEiUiP9sHxSqC6

LIONS CLUB

The Oxford Lions Club Sight Saving Committee is collecting used eyeglasses, as well as glasses cases! These glasses and cases are donated all over the world to children who are in need. The lenses and frames from the donated glasses are modified to meet individual children's eye needs. Every year, Oxford Lions Club collects and sends 900-plus pairs of glasses to children in need!

Donations can be dropped off at Marshall or the Board Office. Thank you for supporting the Oxford Lions Club!

Final Forms Update and Reminder

TSD will prompt parents in the first week of August to begin updating their child's school forms for the 2024-25 school year.  We know sometimes parents begin doing this early, but it's important to wait for the prompt from the district, as some forms will be changing for next school year.  The updates will be made in July after all of the summer programs are completed.
