A Safe, Organized, Accountable, and Respectful Community

The mission of Marshall Elementary is to work as a community to achieve higher levels of thinking and learning by empowering every learner everyday.

School News and Information

Calendar Updates:  On the November Lunch Menu it was not noted that there is NO SCHOOL on November 7th and as a result will not be serving lunch that day.

Also we need to reschedule the November Parent Teacher Group Meeting to November 28th at 7:00 PM in the Marshall Cafeteria

Thank you to all of our families who attended Parent Teacher Conference.  We appreciate your support in working with us to help you child grow and learn.  Also thank you our Marshall PTG and Dana Cox for organizing the conference dinners for staff and to all the families who provided items for the meals.  We appreciated it very much.

Congratulations to our 5th grade students who submitted entries to the Oxford Community Arts Howl at the Moon writing contest, which featured ghost stories.  We had 4 students receive recognition for their stories.

In Grades 5-8, Laila Neanover won for Scariest Story

Honorable Mentions for Grades 5-8:

Danni Varney

Tristan Tincher

Maggie Staton

Halloween is coming!

Marshall will be holding the annual Halloween parties and parade of costumes on Tuesday, October 31.  Individual classroom parties will be arranged through the classroom teachers.  Our school parade will take place at 2:30 PM.  As students begin to prepare their costumes, please follow the guidelines listed below so that this is a safe and school appropriate event.

  • Weapons of any kind are not permitted

    • This includes, but is not limited to, guns, knives, swords, pitchforks, or anything that is intended to inflict bodily harm

  • Masks are allowed but should not be worn on the school bus

  • Face paint, if used, should be put on at home and to prevent any eye irritations should not be applied near a student’s eyes

  • Due to the young age of some of our students, we also request that you limit the amount of gore used in your child’s costume and should not be frightening to younger students.

As always we thank you for your support of Marshall.  Please help us make this an enjoyable and safe experience for all of our students.
