Marshall Elementary Enews 8/9/24
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! We are excited for another great year. The floors have been waxed and the classrooms have been cleaned. The staff has been planning, setting up their classrooms, and getting ready for the upcoming school year. We are ready to get students in the doors and into classrooms!
The first day of school for students in grades 2 through 5 is Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Students in grades K & 1 will start school on Monday, August 19, 2024. Students in grades K & 1 will have a meeting with their classroom teacher between August 14th through 16th. Families received a sign-up genius link in their welcome-back email.
The school day will begin at 8:25 am and we will dismiss at 3:05 pm. Students may enter the building starting at 8:05 am. For those who want breakfast, they can go to the cafeteria, all others will head to their homeroom.
A few changes have occurred. I would like to introduce our new staff members or current staff members in new positions:
Mrs. Suzanne Burch - Librarian
Mr. Larry Brock - 5th-grade
Mrs. Beth Davidson - Intervention Specialist
Mrs. Stephanie Pearson - District Gifted Teacher
Mr. Gary Gabbard - SRO
Additionally, Mrs. Gronas will teach 2nd grade, and Ms. Sparks will teach 3rd grade this school year.
Final Forms
Final Forms was introduced a few years ago to complete student information. If you have created an account you can log in, check your information, and update your forms. The Marshall staff have been trained on how to use Final Forms and can assist you with any problems that you may encounter. If you need access to the internet or a computer, please stop in the Marshall office and we will help you.
K-8 Transportation- Mrs. Hansel
Thank you to the many families who have completed and returned their child's transportation form to Petermann Transportation. The form in Final Forms is NOT the form that Peterman needs!
If you still need to complete and send your child's form, please do so right away!

Stop by the PTG table at the open house to learn about all the wonderful things PTG does throughout the school year!
At Mayfest, we raffled off a VIP parking space. This lucky car rider will get to be in the first spot each day for pickup. If you see a vehicle bypass all of the cars in line and head to the first spot, do not be alarmed, that is the lucky winner! We will have this fantastic prize at Mayfest again this spring!

OPEN HOUSE
On Tuesday, August 13th from 4:30 to 6 pm, Marshall Elementary School is open to families to meet their teachers, see their classrooms, and drop off their school supplies. In addition, we will have a few information booths in the cafeteria. Come check out the different booths and see what all our community has to offer!
Fall Pictures
Fall pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Picture re-takes will be on Thursday, November 7th.
