Kramer PTG
The Kramer Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is composed of parents, caregivers, and teachers who donate their time and efforts to enrich our school community and to support Kramer students. We support the Kramer Elementary school by fundraising, organizing volunteers and building community.
The PTG funds $20,000 worth of field trips for Kramer students; including admission and busing costs. In addition, money will be provided to teachers to fund projects and needs that are presented and approved during the PTG meetings. PTG money supports Reading at Home (RAH) prizes, Teacher Appreciation Week, and more!
PTG Meeting Dates
We hope that you’ll join us for our PTG meetings, where we plan our community events and fundraisers at. PTG meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7:00PM, in the Kramer Elementary Art Room. Parents are encouraged to attend. Come get involved!

PTG Communications
Email List. Contact us by e-mail at KramerPTG@gmail.com to subscribe or to unsubscribe from our email list. We will use the email list to share the agenda and meeting minutes from the PTG meetings.
Facebook. Join our Kramer PTG Facebook Group. We promote our events and activities on Facebook and it’s also a space for informal chatter.
Kramer E-News. Find out about upcoming PTG events and volunteer activities in the Kramer E-News, an email newsletter sent out on Fridays by Kramer Principal Jason Merz and Talawanda Communications Officer Holli Hansel. If you do not receive Kramer E-News, ensure your email is correct using Final Forms or in the Kramer Office.
The Kramer Community Calendar is maintained by the Kramer Office and includes the PTG event dates. To add it to your Google Calendar, follow these steps:
- Open Google Calendar. In the bottom left hand corner, see “My Calendar.”
- Select ‘Subscribe to Calendar’
- In the “Add calendar” space, enter this Kramer-specific code and hit enter: bpsoruqtevfdiig9o9jahuppsc@group.calendar.google.com
- You can change the settings as you desire and you can turn it on and off in the future.
Don’t Miss!
KRAMER CARNIVAL on Saturday, October 5 from 1 to 4 pm. The Fall Carnival at Kramer Elementary is a community-building fundraiser with games, inflatables, food, silent auction, a raffle, and more. Volunteer opportunities include: planning committee, set-up/clean-up, carnival day operations, silent auction, and/or bake for the cake and pie auction. MOTHER-SON DANCE on Saturday, January 25, 6 to 8 pm, is an evening event that complements the parks department’s Father-Daughter Dance. Volunteers are needed to help run the event, setting up, and cleanup. The event is held in the Kramer cafeteria and gym.
KRAMER FAMILY SKATE on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm. The PTG will host the Kramer Elementary Family Skate at the Goggin Ice Center. This is a fun, social event to build friendships and community. Families are welcome.
Reward Programs
Kroger Community Rewards. Kroger makes fundraising easy by donating to local nonprofits based on the shopping you do. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Look for Kramer Elementary PTG on the list of organizations. Box Tops for Education. Download the Box Tops app onto your phone and scan your store receipts for participating products. Your school will automatically earn cash with every Box Tops product you buy. See Box Tops for Education for more information.
Volunteer Opportunities
PICTURE DAY in the fall and spring, two volunteers help to direct students through the photographer lines and keep the lines moving and organized. - SLOTS ALREADY FILLED
The HOLIDAY SHOP is for students to visit in the days before winter break. The shop is stocked with $2 items for students to purchase as gifts for family and friends. Volunteers are needed to help set up, guide student shoppers, and work the cash register.
THANK YOU CARD COMMITTEE. This group writes thank you cards to PTG donors and sponsors from the comfort and convenience of their own homes.
Provide a side or dessert for CONFERENCE MEALS. We coordinate dinners for teachers during Parent-Teacher Conference Nights to demonstrate our appreciation to their hard work and long hours.
Join the TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK committee as they coordinate gifts and snacks for Kramer teachers.
Fundraising
The KRAMER MILE is our largest fundraiser. In May, all Kramer students participate in a run/walk from Kramer Elementary to Millett Hall on the Miami University campus. The students will be provided with a pledge card/ webpage, to allow the students to obtain sponsors. This helps to raise funds for the Kramer PTG. We encourage ALL families to support their students by creating and sharing the kids’ pledge pages. Parents, grandparents, and friends will also be invited to the event and to cheer on the kids. This is a fun environment and a great event.
RESTAURANT NIGHTS. We partner with some of our local restaurants. While our families enjoy an evening out to eat, the restaurant will donate a percentage of the evening’s profits to our PTG.
FUNDRAISER SALES. Helping your Kramer student to sell Cake Rolls, Texas Roadhouse rolls, etc., can support the PTG. We also need volunteers to help with behind the scenes work.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES FUNDRAISER. Parents love this fundraiser that helps them to get organized for next year’s school supply list.
Donation-Based Support
Consider a financial donation to help PTG finance school activities and supplies. You can submit a tax-deductible donation by writing a check to “Kramer PTG” and bringing it to the Kramer Office.
