Talawanda School District Hires Ed Theroux as New Superintendent

The Talawanda Board of Education is pleased to announce that they have hired Ed Theroux as the new Superintendent of Talawanda School District.  Mr. Theroux will officially begin his new role with the Talawanda on August 1, 2018.  He comes to the district with a vast set of experiences in education, and has specific experiences that uniquely qualify him for the lead role in Talawanda.

Elementary Report Card Survey

When new state standard were released, the Talawanda School District began the process of transitioning to a new standards-based report card at the elementary school level.  The change occurred during the 2014-2015 school year and included new standards, new marks, and separate process standards for behaviors.  From 2014 to 2017, marks were reported for broad categories of the new standards.  This year, we began reporting marks for each of the specific essential standards.  Please take a moment to complete this short survey as we continue to evaluate our communication of student learning.  Parent Report Card Survey
