Kramer- E-news 11/9/18

Happy Friday!

Thank you to the Kramer PTG for sponsoring the skate night at Goggin!

As the weather gets cooler, please remember to send your child to school with the proper clothing (hats, gloves, coats, sweatshirts, etc.).  If you need assistance with any items, please contact Nurse Dena, Mrs. Jutte, Mrs. Marconi, Mrs. Pike or Mr. Merz. We will be happy to assist you.  You can call the Kramer office at: 513-273-3500

Dismissal Changes

Any new dismissal changes for your child must be put in writing and the note should be sent to school with your student.  The office can then notify appropriate staff. Last minute dismissal changes will only be approved if it is an emergency. Thank you.

Morning Drop Off

Please remember when dropping off in the morning, please pull between the two crosswalks and let your child out on the passenger side of the car.  Thank you.

Music Update from Mrs. Kelly

This Fall we’ve been very busy in music!  Kindergarten and first grades have spent time playing instruments and moving to the steady beat.  We have also talked about the different ways to use our voices. Second grade has reviewed the same concepts and have begun to implement dynamics and tempo changes.

Third grade has used class time learning about all of the instruments in the orchestra and their families.  This unit culminated in a trip to see the RIchmond Symphony Orchestra. We had a great trip!

Fourth and fifth grade students have been working on reading music. Both grades are participating in Recorder Karate, which is a program where children earn a karate belt for each song they pass.  Fifth grade students have also begun to play ukuleles! We are having a lot of fun!

Please remember that fifth grade students have their grade level concert on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.  Students may wear their holiday best! The concert will be at Kramer.
