TMS Teacher Placed on Administrative Leave Pending Investigation:
Talawanda School District has placed a Talawanda Middle School Teacher on leave pending an investigation that involves students/and or student discipline.
The district has become aware that information surrounding this incident and students, has been discussed on social media and among community members. The district is aware that some of the information reported on social media is inaccurate. This is another reminder that student information is confidential, and student discipline is also confidential. There are few exceptions to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Thank you to the many parents, students, staff, and community members who understand the delicate nature of managing student confidentiality and allowing the district time to conduct the investigation without hindering the process.
