In Honor of Mike Davis- Respect Ride
FYI-To the Talawanda Community
RESPECT RIDE - In memory of Mike Davis, Talawanda School Treasurer, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who passed away unexpectedly this past weekend.
Pay your respects for Mike and to the Davis family as we form an organized procession of cars to pass by the Davis home on Thursday, April 16th. Please meet at the Talawanda Middle School at 5:00 pm where we will have a police escort lead us to the Davis home (approximately one half mile away).
We ask that while in the procession your head lights are turned on as well as hazard lights. Along the route there will be a video camera to record your sentiments to the family. We must keep the traffic flow moving and ask that you have your thoughts prepared.
If you would like to bring a flower there will be people there to collect them and arrange them for the family. Feel free to bring a card. Please sanitize the card before sealing. Feel free to make a sign to share you thoughts and sympathy with the family as you pass the house. Please do not bring stuffed animals, food etc. Please do not exit your car.
In order to handle the flow of traffic and to not create a back-up on State Hwy 732, we ask that you help us stage the event. All families and individuals with last names beginning with letters A – M please arrive at the Talawanda Middle School at 5:00 pm and letters N – Z arrive at 6:00. There will be people at the Middle School to direct traffic and to help keep the flow moving.
If you would like to make a donation, the family request a donation in Mike’s name to: The Oxford Community Foundation, 22 East High Street, Oxford, Ohio 45056 or online at website
The family of Mike Davis will be truly grateful for your love and support.
Please thank the Police officers who are helping with this event. Thank you to the friends of the Davis family for the opportunity to celebrate Mike during these unprecedented times.
