Congrats to THS Destination Imagination!!!
The THS Destination Imagination Team has placed first at the Ohio State Tournament and has been invited to participate in the Global Competition.
Destination Imagination is a project based challenge that focuses on STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.
This year's team competed in the Technical Challenge where they had to create an invention to help with a quest and then make a video game to present their findings.
The high school team members are: Andrew Averbach, Damon Byrd, Anthony Greene, Charles Murray, Emily Shoker and Kelsy Wortman. Team Managers are Bill Greene and Jessica Greene
They had a bit of fun with this year's challenge and their quest was the long and arduous quest for the missing sock and their invention was a bubble machine that defeats the evil dryer. Their video game includes the use of green screen, virtual backgrounds and throw backs to 90's video game elements.
Here's their video game presentation: link
The team plans to compete in the global competition held virtually in mid June and hopes to compete again next year with the goal of attending global competition in person.
