Transportation Information for Eligible Students: K-8 students living outside of the 2-mile no transportation zone.

• All Talawanda school district students (k-8) utilizing school bus transportation are limited to one pick-up address and one drop-off address.  The pickup and drop-off addresses can be different.
• Open Enrollment students are NOT eligible to ride Talawanda school buses.
• Only Pre-K students with an IEP that state school bus transportation requirements in section 8 of their IEP, will be allowed to ride Talawanda school buses.
• No student bus passes will be allowed at any school.
• If you have questions regarding your student's bus route, please call the Transportation Office at (513.273.3150). Please leave a detailed message along with your name, address, and phone number. Your call will be returned.
• If you have moved, please call the Central Registration Office at (513.273.3121- which will reopen the first week of August). This action must be taken before changes can be made to your child's bus route.
• Please arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes prior to the arrival of the bus.
• We ask for your patience during the first few weeks of school. Buses typically run later than what is posted on the bus route lists. They will adjust to the posted time within a few weeks of the start of school.
• Parents and guardians with Kindergarten/PK/Grades 1 & 2 students, MUST be outside at the bus stop for your Kindergartner/PK
• Private, Parochial, Butler Tech, Project SEARCH, and Project LIFE families need to live in the Talawanda School District to be eligible for transportation. Please complete the transportation request form each year. The same rules and regulations apply.
• The Talawanda Student Code of Conduct is strictly enforced during student transport times.  

BY SUBMITTING THE TRANSPORTATION REQUEST, YOU ARE OBLIGATING YOUR CHILD TO RIDE A TALAWANDA SCHOOL BUS FOR THE PRIMARY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE TO CONSISTENTLY RIDE THE SCHOOL BUS WILL RESULT IN TERMINATION OF THE BUS SERVICE FOR THE PERIOD IN WHICH YOU SUBMITTED YOUR TRANSPORTATION REQUEST. HOWEVER, IF YOU FIND YOUR STUDENT NEEDS TRANSPORTATION AT A LATER DATE, YOU CAN SUBMIT ANOTHER REQUEST.
