ELL Event- Family Night

TSD had an amazing ELL Family Night on Thursday! Thanks to the Oxford Community Foundation Grant, we were able to offer a "Taste of Oxford" with delicious food from local businesses. These generous restaurants went above and beyond—even providing more than we ordered!

A special shoutout to the owner of Sushi King, who donated all the sushi for the event. As a former Talawanda ELL student, he shared that his Talawanda education helped him achieve his dream of opening his own business—a truly inspiring story!

Families from all over the world attended, making this a wonderful opportunity to connect, share a meal, and meet our incredible ELL tutors. In addition, Mrs. Fyers’ World Cultures classes created beautiful displays showcasing countries from around the world, helping everyone learn and appreciate different cultures.

It was a night filled with community, connection, and celebration—thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible!
